Big island wedding | the PROPOSAL
This Big Island wedding with Kiara and Andrew was so perfect. I got a call from Andrew and Kiara just a few weeks earlier! They decided that they wanted to elope and luckily I had their day available. I was so stoked to work with them and plan this big island wedding.
Since they were planning to elope, Andrew hadn’t proposed to Kiara yet. Kiara assumed that they were just going to elope without a proposal. She didn’t even think twice about it. Little did she know, Andrew had planned a surprise proposal a day before the elopement! Andrew planned the sweetest proposal poolside at the beautiful hotel in Kona. He got each member of the family involved in the surprise! It was so sweet.
Finally, Kiara arrived at the hotel where Andrew had the proposal planned. She was so happy and surprised and it turned out exactly how Andrew imagined. It was the perfect start to their weekend before getting married!
Kailua-Kona Intimate Elopement
The wedding day came and everyone was so excited! Kiara and Andrew DIY’d everything for their day at this Kailua-Kona Intimate Elopement.
They wanted their big island wedding to be quiet, simple, and intentional. They were married at a private venue on the big island, Kailua-Kona side. They wanted their day to be all white, beautiful, and effortless. It turned out even better than they imagined. It was perfect.
They said their I do’s in front of a floral ceremony arch overlooking the ocean surrounded by their closest family. They face-timed their family who couldn't be there and kept it small and intimate. It was the perfect intimate Big Island Wedding Ceremony.
Next, we shot some bridal portraits on the beach as the sun was about to set. After, they celebrated with their family and friends with champagne toasts, the sweetest speeches, and cake cutting!
They were so in love and just beaming with happiness. From the moment I met them I could tell that they truly just supported one another. They were focused on the day being unique and special to them and their entire family played a role in the day being perfect. I loved how they were focused on being present and enjoying every moment. I am so glad I got to be a part of this special day with Kiara & Andrew.
