I love adventure, spontaneity, and sunshine.

My life is made up of always running around with a camera, loving on my sweet husband Dillon and our daughter Flora, snuggling with my chunky frenchies Manilla and Mozie, spending time with those I love most, and exploring every ounce of this little island.

Creativity has always pulsed through my veins. As a child, I always thought I would be a fashion designer, but somewhere between my freshman year of college and living 2 years abroad, my heart changed and I realized I am my best when I am helping others. I decided to change paths and major in social work. Photography became my creative outlet during this time, but I never planned on making this my full time gig. After receiving my masters in social work, my heart simply craved creativity and I knew my soul was calling me towards this business full time. In 2017, I started Sheyanne Lyn Photography and since that time I have photographed over 200 weddings all over the world. There is not a single day that I don’t wake up and love what I do.

As a child my parents always called me their sunshine girl. I naturally am super positive and have a way of making others feel at ease. I was born in the PNW and moved to Hawaii in 2013 for college. I had no idea that Hawaii would end up becoming my permanent home. Here is where I met my husband Dillon and our story happens to be my favorite. We met in a spanish business class a week after I moved home from living in Argentina for two years. He sat next to me and BOOM we were married shortly after. He is the love of my life and the love I feel for him inspires me while capturing my couple’s stories. I cannot tell you how many times I have cried during first dances, and I couldn't wait to go home and snuggle up with him.

Capturing photos with feeling

My approach is 3000% focused on capturing photos that FEEL. Snapping that shutter thousands of times during the day will never magically create intentional and meaningful photographs. I put my heart and soul into giving you a tangible way to transport you back to the overall feeling of your day. My goal is in 50 years, with your grandkids all around, you can bust out your wedding album, show them the photos and remember every single feeling you felt on your wedding day.

The way I achieve this is by focusing on what is normal and natural to you!! We all feel self conscious when we are doing things that are unfamiliar to us. Most of my clients have NEVER been photographed before, yet they all look like models because I am capturing them JUST as they are. I have a way of creating an environment for my couples to simply be present and have fun! Because I focus on getting to know the both of you prior to your day, I am able to guide and direct in a way that is natural and normal to you!

I guide you through the whole process in a way where you literally just get to EXPERIENCE your day and not think about the fact that I am photographing you. My directions are fun, effortless, and intentional! I make you feel confident and comfortable so that you actually look like yourselves in your photos. I would say 80% of my couples tell me how "awkward" and "uncomfortable" they are in front of the camera, yet every time I deliver an album, I get responses from my couples amazed at how natural they look.
