Romantic Hawaii Wedding at Cafe Julia

This Romantic Wedding at Cafe Julia was full of so much love and beauty.

The day started at Ilikai hotel getting ready with the bride and her bridesmaids. Reveal Hair and Makeup did such a good job on the bride's hair and makeup. She wore a stunning half-up boho braided hairstyle and her makeup was the perfect soft glam look. It matched her elegant low-back wedding dress perfectly. Tessa had the sweetest bridesmaids and they wore these stunning mismatched burnt orange bridesmaids dresses. Everyone had so much fun getting ready and soaking up these moments together before the ceremony. It was such a nice way to begin the day.

The wedding venue that these two chose was Cafe Julia located in Downtown Honolulu. This venue was such a beautiful location with a gorgeous courtyard and ceremony space. The simple boho details that they added completed the space and it all looked phenomenal. This wedding venue is a hidden gem in the heart of downtown Honolulu!

Tessa and James have the cutest love story. They were set up on a blind date by one of their friends. She usually wouldn’t say yes to something like this but something in her gut told her to go. They chatted over coffee for hours, and Tessa knew he was the one from early on. After 10 months, James popped the question and now I am here writing about their beautiful Hawaii wedding day and celebration.

Tessa had written letters to James from the first day she met him and saved each letter so he could read them later on. She gave him the entire book full of letters moments before the ceremony. It was so emotional and so special and some of the sweetest moments to witness.

James was teary-eyed when he first laid his eyes on his soon-to-be wife as she was walking down the aisle. They exchanged the sweetest vows at the most beautifully decorated ceremony location. We snuck away after the ceremony to run around Waikiki and capture some special moments of the Bride and Groom. The night ended with a beautiful reception at Cafe Julia decorated with string lights and romantic table decor. The wedding guests laughed, cried, danced, and had the best time celebrating Tessa and James. Everyone there just loved them to death and their love and light radiated! It was such a positive, radiant day.

I felt so honored to capture this special day for Tessa and James. They are some of the kindest people I have ever met. They truly wanted nothing more than to soak in every moment of the day. They did not stress the small stuff and really just wanted to be present and focus on their guests and the experience. Tessa and James tried to give every ounce of their day meaning and value and it really showed in the experience they gave their guests.

Everyone truly had the best time celebrating Tessa and James’ love. I am so grateful to be a part of their Hawaii Wedding at Cafe Julia.
